Welcome! I’m Christy. I’ve always been a book nerd – you can blame Johanna Spyri’s Heidi. I read it when I was eight, bored after finishing my school work for the day. I had ample time to read back in the dark ages before computers and cell phones, and I developed rather eclectic reading habits; browsing library shelves, thrift stores, and yard sales alike. Nancy Drew, James Fenimore Cooper, Agatha Christie, Jane Austen . . . actually I’m pretty sure I checked out those first two simultaneously. Through some strange oversight I wasn’t introduced to Narnia until I was a teen, but that just meant I enjoyed it more than I would have earlier. One husband, two degrees, three children, four major moves, and five chickens later, I read Michael Ward’s Planet Narnia and re-discovered my love for both C.S. Lewis and academic pursuit. So, here I am, in between read-alouds, boo-boo bandaging, conversations about art and physics and God, and never-ending piles of laundry and dishes, pondering the mysteries of life, gender, and C.S. Lewis. Soli Deo Gloria.
